A chemical skin peel is a procedure to smooth the texture of your face by removing the skin’s outer damaged layers. The goal: to diminish facial blemishes and scarring, improve uneven skin pigmentation, reduce wrinkles and enhance your skin’s overall texture by using specially formulated topical solutions personally adjusted to fit your needs. And, once we’ve performed our comprehensive skin evaluation, we will work with you to customize your peel around these needs.
GLYCOLIC ACID PEEL
This peel is recommended for all skin types and gently resurfaces and rejuvenates your dull skin by rapidly exfoliating dead skin cells from the skin’s surface for a much smoother texture.
JESSNER PEEL
Known for its effectiveness and inclusion of Retinoic acid, this peel has been formulated to diminish fine lines, minimize hyperpigmentation and reduce acne scarring.
LACTIC ACID PEEL
This mild peel, which lifts away surface cells and leaves your skin soft and hydrated, is great for those with pigmented and dry skin.
OBAGI® BLUE PEEL
This peel helps you achieve optimum skin resurfacing through the use of its slow-acting TCA (trichloroacetic acid) to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the production of new ones.
OBAGI® BLUE PEEL RADIANCE
One of Obagi’s newest on the market, this peel was specifically designed to help reduce brown spots, fine lines and blemishes while allowing your aesthetician to control the depth of the peel.
PERFECT PEEL
The Perfect Peel uses its key anti-aging ingredient, Glutathione, to safely treat all skin types and is used to improve the skins texture, brighten, reduce lines and wrinkles, lighten pigmentation, even out tone, stimulate collagen for firmer skin as well as treat acne.
SALICYLIC ACID PEEL
This peel is highly effective for acne-prone skin and includes powerful exfoliations to effectively clear acne caused by bacteria.
SKIN CEUTICALS® SMART TCA PEEL
SkinCeuticals® TCA (trichloroacetic acid) Peel significantly improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, laxity and discoloration to help minimize the signs of aging and sun damage. TCA peels are also used to treat acne scars, hyperpigmentation and melasma.
SKINMEDICA® ILLUMINIZE PEEL
Perfect for all skin types, this peel is SkinMedica’s gentlest peel and is appropriate for first-timers with mild skin imperfections or those wanting brighter, more radiant skin with no downtime or peeling.

SKINMEDICA® VITALIZE PEEL

At Aqua Medical Spa, our chemical peel treatments typically last between 20 minutes and an hour, with the end result based on the strength and amount of chemical applied and, of course, the response of your skin. The solution itself and the number of passes over the skin, alternating chemical application and neutralizer, affect the depth of skin layers and the length of time for the peeling stage to complete.
