Jon R. Ward, MD

Dr. Ward has also been recognized for excellence in non-invasive cosmetic procedures, including laser skin resurfacing, CoolSculpting®, and injectables (Botox®, Sculptra®, and other fillers). He was also named a Top Beauty Doc by New Beauty magazine in 2008 and 2009.
Dr. Ward earned his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine before completing his dermatology residency at the University of Massachusetts, where he earned the position of Chief Resident. He has been published in the Journal of Dermatology and presented lectures across the country. In addition, Dr. Ward has been a leader in the local and state medical community, has served as president of The Bays Medical Society, and was elected the first president of The Bays Medical Society Health Trust. He has served on the board of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, is a past president of the Bay County Medical Society and is on the Florida Medical Association Board of Governors.
Michael A. Stickler, MD

Dr. Stickler has extensive expertise in providing cosmetic dermatology treatments as well as administering injectable products such as Botox®, Dysport®, Juvéderm®, Restylane®, Voluma® and others.
He attended medical school at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he was named Outstanding Graduate (valedictorian) of his class, before going on to complete his dermatology residency as chief resident at the University of Florida’s Department of Dermatology at Shands Hospital. Dr. Stickler is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. Dr. Stickler is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Jeffrey Stricker, DO, MBA, CPE, FCAP
Board-Certified Dermatologist & Dermatopathologist
Dr. Stricker specializes in laser surgery, photodynamic therapy and other cosmetic dermatology procedures. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed two dermatological fellowships in dermatopathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and the second in dermatology and Mohs surgery at the Skin Cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology Center in Dalton, Georgia.
He is a founding member of the American Board of Administrative Medicine, a past chair for the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology, and has served as assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Central Florida and as adjunct clinical professor at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Alan Gardner, MD
Dr. Gardner began his private practice in 1985, with a commitment to help people achieve great skin health, to the best of his ability, and to achieve realistic cosmetic goals. His experience and expertise over the past 29 years has allowed him to successfully treat many skin concerns, imperfections and diseases. Dr. Gardner realizes the importance of skin beauty and the self-confidence that comes with it. He stays abreast of the latest in dermatological care, continually training in new technology, in order to bring the safest and most effective methods of treatment to his patients. He enjoys taking the time to give each patient individual attention, watching the progression of the surfacing of the natural beauty within.
Josh A. Hammel, MD
Dr. Hammel brings to Dermatology Specialists of Georgia an extensive background in dermatological research and specialized training in surgical dermatology, including the use of advanced plastic surgery repair techniques. A native of Marietta, Georgia, Dr. Hammel graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Tech with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Hammel received his medical doctorate in 2011 from Emory University School of Medicine. He then trained for two years in plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University and completed dermatology residency at the University of Iowa. Dr. Hammel additionally completed a two-year dermatological clinical research fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago as well as a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. His research includes work with Mohs micrographic surgery as well as the medical treatment of basal cell carcinoma, severe plaque psoriasis and eczema, and acne. Dr. Hammel is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatological Surgery.
Dawn M. Hansen, MD, FACP
After receiving her medical training at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Dr. Hansen completed her residency and specialty training at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. Prior to joining our team, she served as the Chief Medical Officer at the highly respected Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport and practiced general dermatology at Singing River Health System Clinics in Biloxi.
Dr. Hansen is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a proud veteran, who served in the United States Air Force, where she attained the rank of major. She also enjoys sharing her love of medicine through education and has been a preceptor for nurse practitioner students for over 15 years.
John H. Phillips III, MD

Dr. Phillips is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic cosmetic surgeon offering expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, acne and rosacea, as well and the use of advanced medical technology to repair and restore damaged and aging skin.
He attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he was given the Order of the Gold Tipped Stethoscope Award for Outstanding Performance in Clinical Medicine. Dr. Phillips is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatologic Surgery. Among many academic appointments, he has served as a clinical professor at Tulane University School of Medicine, and a visiting professor at New Orleans’ Charity Hospital, since 1986.
