What made you want to become an Aesthetician?
I had been a makeup artist for some time. When you are putting makeup on someone’s face, you always hope for a clear canvas, but that’s not reality. Instead, I quickly found out that so many people have skin issues, and I wanted to be able to help!

What is your favorite service to do and why?
I absolutely love doing microneedling on scars! From acne to stretch marks, being able to change the appearance of an ugly, discolored or raised scar that my patients have had and hated–most of them for far too long–means the world to me, because I know it means the world to them.

What is your favorite product and why?
Wow, that’s a hard one. There are so many great products that I get to use. If I had to pick just one, It would have to be SkinCeuticals Phyto +. Phyto + is like a little bit of heaven in a bottle; it hydrates, combats environmental damage (the second leading cause of aging), is antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic, amazingly calming and has a bit of kojic acid to help improve discoloration. I recommend this to almost all my patients, because it is good for all skin types and feels amazing!

What hobbies do you have outside of work?
I stay pretty busy when I am not at work. I am in school to get my nursing degree, and I have two boys. Those two things combined take up a lot of my free time. When I’m not tending to those, I enjoy working on body painting ideas, and I’m currently writing a fiction book. I also love to spend time outdoors, read and listen to music.

What is your favorite splurge?
My husband and I both have a passion for music and travel. Those two things tend to take up a big portion of our “splurge” money. We have seen so many bands over the years and many of them multiple times. We are currently saving for a big trip to see my favorite artist in London for our 10th anniversary and 40th birthdays.
