Jon R. Ward, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Panama City, Tallahassee

Dr. Ward has also been recognized for excellence in non-invasive cosmetic procedures, including laser skin resurfacing, CoolSculpting®, and injectables (Botox®, Sculptra®, and other fillers). He was also named a Top Beauty Doc by New Beauty magazine in 2008 and 2009.

Dr. Ward earned his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine before completing his dermatology residency at the University of Massachusetts, where he earned the position of Chief Resident. He has been published in the Journal of Dermatology and presented lectures across the country. In addition, Dr. Ward has been a leader in the local and state medical community, has served as president of The Bays Medical Society, and was elected the first president of The Bays Medical Society Health Trust. He has served on the board of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, is a past president of the Bay County Medical Society and is on the Florida Medical Association Board of Governors.



Michael A. Stickler, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Panama City Beach, Santa Rosa Beach

Dr. Stickler has extensive expertise in providing cosmetic dermatology treatments as well as administering injectable products such as Botox®, Dysport®, Juvéderm®, Restylane®, Voluma® and others.

He attended medical school at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he was named Outstanding Graduate (valedictorian) of his class, before going on to complete his dermatology residency as chief resident at the University of Florida’s Department of Dermatology at Shands Hospital. Dr. Stickler is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. Dr. Stickler is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.


Jeffrey Stricker, DO, MBA, CPE, FCAP
Board-Certified Dermatologist & Dermatopathologist

Dr. Stricker specializes in laser surgery, photodynamic therapy and other cosmetic dermatology procedures. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed two dermatological fellowships in dermatopathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and the second in dermatology and Mohs surgery at the Skin Cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology Center in Dalton, Georgia.

He is a founding member of the American Board of Administrative Medicine, a past chair for the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology, and has served as assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Central Florida and as adjunct clinical professor at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.


John H. Phillips III, MD

Dr. Phillips is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic cosmetic surgeon offering expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, acne and rosacea, as well and the use of advanced medical technology to repair and restore damaged and aging skin.

He attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he was given the Order of the Gold Tipped Stethoscope Award for Outstanding Performance in Clinical Medicine. Dr. Phillips is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatologic Surgery. Among many academic appointments, he has served as a clinical professor at Tulane University School of Medicine, and a visiting professor at New Orleans’ Charity Hospital, since 1986.


Joanna McGetrick, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. McGetrick joined Dermatology Specialists of Florida in 2015, bringing with her expertise in surgical and cosmetic dermatology, as well as diagnosing and treating skin cancer.

She attended medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. McGetrick completed her residency in Dermatology-Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin where she also served as chief resident of Dermatology.

Dr. McGetrick is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatology Society and the International Society of Dermatology.


Lori B. Schaen, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Lori Schaen served her residency in Dermatology at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Dr. Schaen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College, in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Afterward, she completed a one year internship in pediatrics at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Schaen’s scope of practice includes comprehensive medical, surgical, cosmetic and laser dermatology. She sees patients of all ages, from infants to elderly, and all skin types.

Dr. Schaen holds memberships in many professional organizations, including: the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the National Psoriasis Foundation, the American Acne and Rosacea Society and the Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Schaen has received multiple honors, including: the Vitals Annual Patients’ Choice Award for six years in a row, the American Contact Dermatitis Society James R. Nethercott Clinical Award, the Dr. Ernst Beutner Excellence in Immunopathy Award, the H.B. Weiss Award for Clinical Excellence, and Chief Resident of her dermatology residency program. As a recipient of the Woman’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Grant, Dr. Schaen worked with the internationally renowned Dr. Ilona Frieden, Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Schaen is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. As a former collegiate soccer player, she stays active with her family and three children. Outside her world of dermatology, she enjoys spending time playing racquet sports, chasing her family pets and reading.
